At KIYO, we have long been committed to empowering young people, and in the future, we aim to strengthen our focus on youth that fall under the category of not in education, employment, or training (NEET). Addressing the Crisis Among Boys: KIYO’s Commitment to Positive Masculinity

At KIYO, we have been working for years in school settings with both boys and girls, facilitating workshops that engage young people in discussions on topics they find important. Conversations about gender and positive masculinity are part of these sessions, but the key question remains: how can young people take action and drive change in a society that urgently needs a positive model of masculinity?

Celebrating Youth Engagement: A Look Back at the Circus4Climate project and a Vision for 2025

Circus4Climate brought together diverse voices, young people from Burundi, Belgium and Guinea, all with their own experiences, promoting collaboration and mutual learning on the theme of climate justice. The participants didn't just share ideas: they forged bonds that transcended borders and cultures and created a wonderful circus show full of acrobatics, words, dance and music. Their journey has been beautifully captured in an after-the-fact film that highlights the energy and dedication they brought to the project.

Circus4Climate, it’s a wrap!

KIYO, in collaboration with Amoukanama and Ell Circo D'ell Fuego, has worked with a diverse group of youth from Belgium, Burundi and Guinee to creatively tell their story about the current climate crisis through circus. The youth were able to shine an inspiring, critical and hopeful light on the climate debate. The experiment was more than successful!

Op vrijdag 25 oktober organiseert KIYO in samenwerking met Amoukanama en Ell Circo D’ell Fuego een spectaculaire schoolvoorstelling waarbij jongeren uit verschillende continenten via circus hun verhaal vertellen over de huidige klimaatcrisis. Een ideaal moment om jouw leerlingen te inspireren rond klimaat via kunst!

KIYO DRC launches National Youth Advisory Board

Through the National Youth Advisory Board (NYAB) in DR Congo, KIYO ensures that the voice of youth is included in its programmes and all its governance structures. After all, KIYO is convinced that the youth are the future starting today! This is why a NYAB was also established in DRC.
