Marie Aromin
An alumnus of Bulihan Integrated National High School Special Program in the Arts who majored in Theater Arts and finished junior high school with high honors, now a grade 11 student of Humanities and Social Science in the same school. Aside from pursuing theater, she is also an active student leader in BINHS Supreme Secondary Learners Government being in her 2nd term as the vice president.
She became part of Philippine Educational Theater Association (PETA) workshops exclusive for SPA students when she was in first year high school. Even after the pandemic struck the country, she still continued to participate in PETA Young Artist PlayLab workshops through online meetings and it is her 5th year in her theater journey.
While following her love for theater as a student, she also continued to serve for her fellow students of Bulihan. The learnings she gained from being an SPA student and PETA workshopper became her stepping stone to gradually achieve the change she wants for her school and her country. One of her greatest achievements is when she was elected as the Youth Municipal Vice Mayor of Silang and received an Outstanding Leadership Award given by the Kiwanis Club of Silang together with the Local Government of Silang. During her internship in their Municipal hall, she was given a chance to learn how the local legislative process works and was trained by the Vice Mayor of Silang and the Presiding officer of Sangguniang Bayan, Hon. Edward “Ted” Carranza. Due to all of her involvement in activities that are aiming for the youth development in the Philippines, it became her edge to be more effective as a student leader with concrete and efficient plans for her constituents. Her dream as a teenager is not just enclosed for herself, she now includes the whole future of her fellow Filipino youth up to the next generation.
