Ariel Culala

Ariel is a registered social worker in the Philippines since 2010. He previously worked in several development organisations both in the private and public sectors and was immersed in various education, poverty alleviation, and social protection and development programmes.

He started his developmental career in one of the biggest non-profit organisations in the Philippines that paved the way for him to gain relevant experience in project management, grants administration and stakeholder management. As a former national social worker of an international faith-based NGO serving low-income families, he supervised and mentored local social workers to effectively deliver their responsibilities and ensures compliance with the policies and standards of the Department of Social Welfare and Development and local government units. He managed the UNICEF Philippines - Commission on Human Rights project that ensured that the rights of children deprived of liberty under the care and jurisdiction of duty bearers are observed. He joined the KIYO team in the Philippines in 2023.
